While IT sourcing decisions were in the past primarily made for reasons of cost optimization, strategic considerations are becoming increasingly important. In times of uncertainty, talent shortage and global supply chain disruption, cost as the main decision factor are increasingly replaced by more long-term relevant criteria such as access to innovation, talent, or improving resilience. Based on insights from selected case studies, participants will learn on how to successful transform into ecosystem builders collaborating with e.g., startups, customers, universities, public institutions or even competitors. Thus, the traditional customer – provider relationship needs to be enhanced by a long-term partnership in an open ecosystem.
